The Projects Company was established in 1990 to provide building fit out and refurbishment services to the commercial market. Clients in our first decade of business included: LATCC, West Drayton, Vodafone, Newbury South Bank University, London. The scope of works included the complete refurbishment of commercial spaces with the construction of relocatable partitions, dry lining, suspended ceilings, flooring, electrical and data installation, heating and air conditioning.

In 2000 we relocated to purpose built offices in Caversham near Reading as our client base expanded further to include: Celltech Chiroscience, Cambridge Hutchison 3G, 5 sites across the U.K, GlaxoSmithKline, World Headquarters, Brentford Daimler Chrysler, Milton Keynes Kofax, Basingstoke Resmed, Abingdon MEPC.

Our scope of services increased to include a complete ‘turn key’ design and build service as we added design and furniture sourcing and supply to our range of fit out services.

ISO 9001:2000 – The assurance of quality is fundamental to all the work undertaken by The Projects Company (UK) Limited and the procedures established are practised by all personnel at every level of the companies structure. The quality system is periodically and systematically reviewed by management and checked by quality audits both internal and external.

Exor Accreditation – is the only independent accreditation body serving the UK Government sector. Core to Exor’s service is the independent vetting and accreditation. This is recognised as being the highest in the UK with up to 130 separate checks which can be carried out on each company. Following accreditation, Exor maintains a nationwide central database of businesses that meet the required standards and continues to monitor the compliance with these standards.

Chas Accreditation - CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK. It is a non-commercial scheme available to suppliers and to organisations looking for suitably competent suppliers.

The Projects Company recognises it’s responsibilities to it’s employees and others who may be affected. We provide information, training, supervision, plant and equipment as necessary to identify, eliminate or control hazards and risks at the workplace. Company employees who supervise or manage the use of work equipment have received adequate training for the purposes of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using work equipment, any risks which such use may entail and the precautions to be taken. All employees and sub contractors are expected to cooperate with the company in carrying out this policy and must ensure that their own work is carried out without risk to themselves and others.

The management and staff monitor the operation of this policy and work with Safety Services (UK) limited as their safety advisors. Safety Service giving dependent advice on the requirements of the relevant statutory provisions and safety matters, they are able to visit site and workplace to ensure compliance with the policy.

Paul O’Keefe, Managing Director of The Projects Company has particular responsibility for Health and Safety and Welfare.  Our Health and Safety records show that we have been accident free over the last 5 years.

Our policy towards the earth’s environment brings together our requirements to comply with current government and EU legislation and our wish to use products sourced from suppliers who have a recognised duty of care to the environment. We use only registered waste disposal companies who abide by government, EU and our own standards. We actively work on a voluntary basis with organisations dedicated to recycling office products.

We are able to give extensive pre-contract support to potential clients across a wide range of products and services.

Our project management team boasts many years experience in the commercial      interiors business and has gained an enviable reputation for competitive pricing, quality, workmanship and firm on-site management.  This has led to several successful on-going relationships with both architects/designers and end user organisations. We do not sub-contract the management of our contracts and all operate from the same building to ensure short and effective lines of communication.
